Design Features
Kitchen: The crown jewel of the home, the redesigned kitchen features custom hardwood cabinets milled by a local woodworker, along with sparkling white quartz counters, Edward Martin backsplash tiles and stainless GE appliances, except the dishwasher, including an induction stove and a counter-depth fridge with an ice maker. For the dishwasher, we spent extra for the high-end Miele G5008, Wirecutter’s “Top Pick” for 2026. For the kitchen cabinetry hardware, I custom-ordered the top-quality Atlas hardware from WC Winks in Portland, Oregon.
Primary Bathroom: For the primary bathroom, I wanted to create a spa-like sanctuary escape felt a little different than the rest of the home, while still keeping consistent design and color elements. The bathroom showcases gorgeous Italian shower wall tiles, along with matte black Kohler fixtures, a TOTO toilet and a West Elm vanity made from kiln-dried, sustainably sourced solid wood.
