Born at Livermore Valley Memorial Hospital, Jake is a third-generation Livermore resident with an extensive local network and rich family tradition in real estate. He brings unique market knowledge of Livermore and the Tri-Valley acquired over decades of personal experience and family history to every client engagement.

Jake is passionate about serving his community.

Jake began his teaching career at Marylin Avenue Elementary School in 2011, working with students with moderate to severe disabilities. He currently teaches at Christensen Middle School, where he’s involved with the school’s leadership team and has coached golf and basketball. Christensen Middle School is also where he met Michael when they were in 7th grade. With mutually shared interests in sports (especially basketball, as they were the only two players on their team who their coach gave awarded the “green light” to shoot 3s), video games, and girls, they eventually became best friends. Over wine and a fire pit in Jake’s backyard in the summer of 2017, the idea of launching a real estate business partnership was proposed by Jake. With Michael’s background in real estate investing and brokerage paired with Jake’s extensive network and passion to serve his community, MH Real Estate Company was formed with the intention of helping as many people as possible navigate important and complex real estate decisions. Jake would focus on Livermore and the Tri-Valley, while Michael would support him and continue his own brokerage efforts in San Francisco and neighboring cities.

“Teachers make the best Realtors” was often repeated by Jake’s grandmother, a long-time Realtor. It’s a phrase that has always resonated with Jake, a phrase that he hopes to live up to in his real estate career.

Jake was awarded “Rotary Educator of the Year” in 2013 and 2014. He strives to be a patient and collaborative teacher, while being absolutely invested in the success of his students through utmost dedication and hard work. The same characteristics that make Jake an excellent teacher apply to his real estate career, as he guides and supports his clients through important and often complex real estate decisions. Whether someone is a first-time home buyer or seasoned investor, Jake is well-adept at building relationships based on trust, dedicating hours of behind-the-scenes work to perfect his craft, and providing encouragement through optimism to help his students and real estate clients achieve their goals and dreams.

In his free time, Jake enjoys playing golf, softball and basketball, as well as spending time with his wife, Heather, and their two-year old daughter, Hadley. They love attending community events and enjoying the company of their friends and family, including Jake’s parents, three siblings and their children who all live in Livermore. Jake’s hobbies include coaching golf and basketball, volunteering for the Livermore Valley Education Foundation and co-chairing an annual fundraising event with the Harlem Wizards benefiting the schools in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.
